VILLA MONTEPALDI Chianti Classico Tagliafune Riserva 2016 75cl
This fabulous renaissance property, once owned by Leonardo di Medici with its 300 hectares of vineyards and olive groves is also now owned by The University of Florence and doubles as the field station for the Oenology department. It is run as a not-for-profit organisation and, as such, the wines are phenomenally good value.
Made from grapes from the single vineyard Tagliafune. Delicate and elegant but also intense, deep, and well-structured. The property think of this wine as their purest expression of Chianti Classico.
