Richard Rotters bought his 5 hectares of Moulin-à-Vent vineyards in 2007 and began conversion to organic in 2012. The wines of this appellation are often said to be the most similar in Beaujolais to those of Pinot Noir in Burgundy. Indeed, they are said to "pinoter" as they age beyond a certain point; i.e. adopt the characteristics of Pinot Noir.

The fruit is very expressive here, as are the floral aromas of violet and iris.
