Château Lassalle
With over 8 generations of wine-making experience behind them, in 2004 Fabien and Perrine Labbé-Lalanne took over these 16 hectares perched on a hilltop in the heart to the Graves appellation. Reds are planted on the gravel soils, whites where limestone and clay are more prominent. The judicious use of oak in the red is very impressive; structure and elegance being put ahead of gloss and polish. The Blanc is a 50/50 blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, aged in oak barrels for 8 months. Lime and green apple with hints of lychee and mango. A fabulous pair of wines.
